Our No.1 sand is the most popular sand purchased in New Zealand and is used by builders and DIYers for making concrete and mortar mixes and about 1000 other applications. Alternative products that we would recommend are:
1. Fine River Sand
2. Our East Coast Dune Sand
Both are very fine sands and if you are using colour in your mix – they will retain their colour better if the mortar is exposed to the weather. Please note that our East Coast Sand may contain very mild amounts of salt that can cause efflorescence.
